At the beginning of summer I was loving bright colors like fuchsia, lemon yellow (who am I kidding, I'll always love yellow), bright orange, turquoise and key lime green. I'm still loving brights, but the scale has shifted to darker brights like magenta hues, sunset reds and fiery oranges.
These jewel tones, in a way, represent exactly what is happening - the sunset on summertime.
As we enter these last few weeks of summer, I'll be taking it all in as much as possible. Throwing those last few barbecues, hiking and swimming with the dogs, laying out lazily in the summer sun and dining alfresco at, well, sunset.

ReplyDeleteThese are great colors to head out of summer and into fall with. I look forward to the bright summery colors so much in the summer but I like being able to incorporate some of that stuff into the fall wardrobe too :)
