Who Needs Water!

I am a big fan of dry shampoo.  It's actually become a necessity for me, as I've learned over the years that washing my hair every day, or even every other day, tends to dry it out.

Dry shampoos extend the life of my style for a day or two longer, giving me the ability to wash my hair only twice a week (and not look like I live in a hole).  And not only that, dry shampoo also gives my hair texture for days when I want a beachy, windswept look, or those when I need some hold for an updo.

But that's not why we're here today.

Did you know that you can dry-condition your hair too?  Brands like TIGI, Suave and Got2B have created dry conditioners as a supplement to dry shampoos!

(via)
You'll find dry conditioner in spray (generally aerosol) form, containing oils, silicone and vitamins suspended in powder to condition and smooth the hair without water.  Dry conditioner can be used to add shine to lackluster hair while texturizing and giving it a piecey look.

So what do you think?  Would you use dry conditioner?

  2. Yes I would totally try it! I have a weird questions - what do you do with your hair in the shower on the days you don't wash it? Just pull it up or what?

  4. I'm a huge dry shampoo fan, so when I read your post I was so excited! Sometimes after I use the shampoo it makes my hair look...a little lackluster. I'm definitely getting this condition by Rockaholic! I use their dry shampoo and it's the best!

  9. I've never tried dry shampoo before (let alone dry conditioner) but maybe I should since I wash my hair daily. It usually looks so greasy the next day that I have no choice but to wash it!

I may need a pep talk.
"Erin it will be ok, you are not a woodswoman...you can do it."
    Ugh.

As a mom, sometimes I don't get to wash my hair as planned and I have the oiliest hair, but I had no idea they had dry conditioner. Thanks for sharing. Check out my blog if you get a chance =)

  17. sometimes, if my hair feels like it still needs to be washed after i've recently watched it, i'll just wash it with conditioner! it works wonders (but not all the time)!

  18. I love dry shampoo for covering up greasiness, but I totally don't see the point of dry conditioner!? I only use conditioner on my ends (which is what you're supposed to do) so I'd feel silly buying something just for my ends. But it's cool to read about and I'm interested now! haha

  23. Never knew that there was dry conditioner! I've always stuck to baby powder instead of dry shampoo but I'm going to have to give both the conditioners and shampoos a try.

  24. I never knew dry conditioner existed! I like the idea of dry shampoo but can't find one I like! All the ones I've tried, including more expensive ones, are chalky. I do like Tresemme's refresher spray, though, except it's not really a dry shampoo. Which type do you use?
