Wow. I am so glad it's Friday. This week has been ridiculous. I am pretty sure my brain is now mush.
So there was an earthquake in New England on Tuesday. I was on the phone with my mom Tuesday night when my Dad started yelling in the background, "The house is shaking! Mary the house is shaking!"
My mom started talking to him about it while I was on the phone. Meanwhile I'm on the line yelling, "You guys! The house is not shaking! Hello pay attention to me!"
I guess the house really was shaking. A little.
Speaking of ditches, because earthquakes are kind of like ditches...
Seriously though, I've had a tough week. That earthquake really took a lot out of me.
I'm really done now I promise!
I really have had a tough week! I've been sick for what feels like forever, and I'm super overwhelmed with school right now. I feel like I'm having a hard time getting "with it".
Because if that's not encouragement right there, I don't know what is!
But on a positive note, you may know (or not know, or not care) that I almost have my MBA. Master of Beer Appreciation.
I am also getting my real MBA (yes as in business school, which is where the overwhelming feeling above comes into play) but that's a year or so off.
I have two beers left and then it's on to my PhD! Professor of Hops and Draughts.
That's what I call "class". Haaaa pun intended.
You should hear me giggling like an incoherent child right now. My neighbors probably think I'm crying hysterically. Really, are these THAT funny?
What are your plans for the weekend??? Whatever you do, I hope it's fabulous!

Probably not, but like I said, my brain is pretty much mush at this point. So this is what you're getting today.
What are your plans for the weekend??? Whatever you do, I hope it's fabulous!

PS ~ I totally acknowledge that this may be the worst post that I've ever written...
PPS ~ Sorry mom.

This is not the worst post ever written! I loved it - ESP the ecard reminding us that nothing can ever be as bad as the fact that we are going to die eventually. Bahahahahaha I need to tell myself that more often when I'm sneaking into the closet in my classroom and trying to talk myself out of doing something that would get me fired. I hope you can enjoy your weekend, drink lots of beer, and forget about shitty school for a little while!
ReplyDeletei hope you feel better soon! and those things are really funny!
ReplyDeleteI saw that episode of the shore. That scene was ridiculous. But I can't keep my eyes off the train wreck! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaha the earthquake was crazy huh? I was laying in bed watching TV and things started falling down in my loft! What part of NE do you live in again??
ReplyDeleteI think I need to print that ecard to hang up on my cubicle wall! And I am right there with you with being ready to finish up my MBA too. I only have one class left after this semester, finally!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Hope the earthquake didn't cause any damage

ReplyDeleteThat moment on the shore was probably one of my favorites ever! Integrity. Lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys survived the quake ;)
I love the "remember you're going to die" e-card. Whenever I've feeling particularly overwhelmed, I grab a good book (usually something classic along the lines of Charlotte's Web that doesn't require much thought), pack up a little picnic, and go find an old cemetery to waste an afternoon exploring. It helps to remind myself that "at least I'm not dead."
ReplyDeleteMorbid? Yes. Effective? Absolutely. Best way to clear my head I've found yet.

There was a small earthquake in California on Saturday night! I'm in Utah so I didn't feel it, but there were tons of posts in my Facebook newsfeed about it... it was really minor though. As your first picture states, we will rebuild! ;) haha
