It not only pairs well with my favorite jeans and rustic Fryes, but also adds some Jackie O-type style to a little black (or red!) dress and heels. It's so versatile, actually, that I can even wear it to work with trousers. There are so many options for this piece, it was definitely worth the money.

What's your favorite "wear with anything" piece???
Love it! You always have the best outfits!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration! :)
Great purchase, the collar and sleeves really make this style cape functional. Lovin' the texture of it too! You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous investment piece! I had been searching for a camel cape all fall but never found the perfect one (except one also at BR that sold out too quickly). Love this alternative...thanks for the tip :)

Gorgeous outfit Niki! xo
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about capes, I've had one for a year and still haven't worn it! I totally agree with you that this one adds a little Jackie O glamour and it's the perfect neutral shade to go with so many looks and colors like red or black like you said. You look beautiful and you've inspired me to wear my cape before spring is here. Nice post Niki! :)

I don't think I could pull off that look--but you do it great! I haven't found my perfect look for a coat or something to keep warm in and actually look good at the same time--it's a challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great texture. I love it! My go-to is something similar, a long sweater that snaps up the front. I throw it over everything!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your boots!
ReplyDeleteLove the boots and the texture of the jacket!
ReplyDeleteI have always thought capes look so cute on others but never thought I could pull it off myself. Your entire outfit looks adorable. Maybe it is wearable after all :)
ReplyDeletesuper cute outfit!!! love the outside photos too!
ReplyDeleteI love the neckline on this jacket–it's so pretty and makes it that much more special. This is such a perfect cool weather look!

I definitely love the texture of that! And the color is great too. My mom bought me a cropped swing coat for Christmas. I like it, a lot, but have NO idea what to wear it with =[
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think capes look really cute but I think I'd freeze in one here. Love the texture on your jacket and the camel color will go with everything!

ReplyDeleteI love this sweater jacket on you! And you're right, it's like a cape with sleeves, which makes it so much more amazing than just a regular cape. You look beautiful!

I think capes look great on the runway, but in real life they don’t seem all that wearable- so I’m right there with you! However, this sweater does a good job of making the same style seem totally wearable!
ReplyDeleteOBSESSED with this sweater!!
ReplyDeleteI think my wear with anything piece, honestly, is my lululemon wunder unders. Obviously they are perfect for working out, but they are also great to wear with sweater tops. Nice and thick and look like leggings. Love!

This is super cute! And so much more classy than a cape. I love it! I would definitely take this over the actual thing!
ReplyDeleteI never really thought I'd get into this style, but I'm completely second guessing myself now. This looks so great and I can totally see how it could be worn in a million different ways!

ReplyDeleteI love the look of capes, but I never thought of them as practical. I love this sweater though for the reasons you mentioned - the look of a cape with the versatility of a sweater! I think I need to add this to my wardrobe!

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you! I love the look of capes, but the one time I tried it on I felt so ridiculous it came off right away. This is a great alternative :)

I think you nailed with the Jackie O. reference. This does have a very early '60s vibe to it! And I absolutely ADORE the awesome boots you paired this with!!! ~Sarah of Sarah Hulbert Style
