Happy Birthday Jessie!

It's my little munchkin's birthday today!  Happy, Happy Birthday, Jessie!

We rescued Jessie back in 2009, when she was just 12 weeks old.  She and her siblings were born to a stray yellow lab down in Mississippi.  A wonderful couple found them, adopted the momma  dog and got in contact with a rescue organization to help the pups find good homes.

When we saw Jessie's photos on Petfinder, she stole our hearts.

We contacted the rescue, completed the paperwork, and had Jessie transported up to us in Massachusetts.  Her Dad (Hubbs) went to pick her up from the rescue while I was at work, and when I got home, I found this tiny little barely-10lbs-soaking-wet puppy upside down chewing on a toy!

She was (and is!) such an adorable little thing.  Yet feisty from the very beginning.  I think she gets it from me.

Jessie's had a great life with us these past few years.

She got to go to work with Dad back in the day...

Work was apparently very tiring.

She gets lots of rides in the car...

She gets to go swimming and hiking with Mom, Dad and Chester...

Even on her birthday in February when we are freezing our bums off...

She supports animal rights...

And she's had lots of fun terrorizing our sweet Dino, but they grew to be besties.

Ish.

And... look how she's grown!

Today Jessie is 4 years old.  Our Valentine's Day baby.  :)
