For a recent event I was craving a bit of sparkle, but wanted to keep my nails neutral so they didn’t clash or take away from my outfit. I’ve been loving the clean, manicured look of nude nails lately, so I dug into my nail polish collection and decided to mix two of my favorite Zoya Nail Polish shades – Minka and Glimmer.
Zoya Minka is an opaque beige with slightly warm undertones. Zoya describes this shade as a frost with a hint of shimmer, but I thought the finish was more of a subtle sheen, lending itself more to the creaminess of the beige. I achieved the perfect amount of coverage in two coats, as the first coat was ever-so-slightly streaky. I’ve worn this polish multiple times in the past, and it always wears well without chipping for days (I’m on day 5 as I’m writing this, and still not one chip)!
I applied Zoya Glimmer over the first two coats of Minka. I find that it’s a little too sheer to be worn alone (just my personal preference), so I love to layer it over other polishes to bring some, well, glimmer, to the look! The gold and silver glitter contained in the polish is very fine, which provides a pretty, subtle sparkle without being over the top.
This manicure ended up being exactly what I was looking for! It’s super fun without competing with anything I’m wearing in any way!
