The Bobbi Brown ‘Smokey Cool’ Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition palette containing six shadows to help create a cool, grey smokey eye look. The shades (from left to right) are Ivory, Graphite Sparkle, Smokey Grey Shimmer Wash, Truffle, Platinum Sparkle, and Caviar. Each shade is soft and gorgeously pigmented.
I had a hard time deciding between this palette and the ‘Smokey Warm’ palette at first, but finally settled on this one in the end, as I already have a ton of neutral eye palettes and this was a little different. Plus, the silvery taupes were just perfect for the holiday season.
Below is a quick tutorial of a recent makeup look I did using this palette:
And finally we get to the eyes!
First, I dabbed ‘Platinum Sparkle’ on the the lid with an eye shader brush.
I then blended ‘Truffle’ up into the crease with a fluffy crease brush. Being close to my natural skin color, this shade helps to soften and blend out the other colors I used in this look.
With an angled contour brush, I blended ‘ Smokey Grey Shimmer Wash’ into the outer v – this is the outer corner of the eye, where the eyelid and crease form a “v” shape.
After that, I went back with my fluffy crease blush and blended everything out using ‘Truffle’ again. Blending is so important at this step! You really want to soften the lines and blur the colors into each other.
Finally, I dabbed ‘Ivory’ into the inner corners and onto my browbones to add a little highlight to the eyes.
And then, the finishing touches! Mascara and lipgloss!
Dun dun dun…
The final look!
