I’ve been getting a little tired of the darker winter nail shades (although I still love them) and also wanted to get away from all the glitter polishes I’ve been wearing lately, so I decided to paint my nails a bright pink in an early anticipation of spring. I took to Twitter and asked all of you for recommendations, and I received so many great ones! I decided to go with OPI Pink Flamenco, and the second I painted my nails, I felt instantly happy.
OPI Pink Flamenco nail polish is a bright, creamy magenta pink, originally released in OPI’s Fall 2009 Espana Collection. It’s bright and warm and just looking at it brightens my spirits and takes me to a warmer, more relaxing place. It’s just what I needed!
The polish glides on nicely, smoothly; and the opacity is perfect. One coat is all that is needed to get a streak-free manicure; however I applied two in this case just to perfect and smooth things out even more.
Since this polish is thick, I find that the dry time is a bit longer than normal, but to cut down on that final drying time, I wait longer in-between coats. There isn’t much shine to this polish, but it does leave a nice cream finish (the shine you see has been added by my topcoat). The wear time on Pink Flamenco is generally good as well. As of today my manicure has lasted 5 days without a chip, and I expect it to last even longer.
And I love OPI’s brushes in general, they’re thick enough to apply a nice even layer over the nail, but not so thick that things get messy. This one is no exception.

PS ~ I got a ton of other recommendations for bright pink polishes that I’m dying to try, so I’ll be posting more of those in the future!
