Uncommon Goods is an online retailer that sells creative items, often handmade and made with recycled materials. I’ve been a fan of Uncommon Goods for years now; I bought a necklace made from recycled neckties a few years back, and to this day I still receive tons of compliments on it:

I’ve also consistently purchased gifts for friends and family through Uncommon Goods as well; and as you can see by the necklace, I tend to gravitate towards the handmade jewelry section of the site. I love the uniqueness of the pieces – they’re true conversation starters and they’re always a hit!
Here are some of my current pieces from Uncommon Goods‘ handmade jewelry selection:
all items can be found here
I especially love that the site shows a photo of the jewelry piece, but if you click on the photo, there is an additional photo of the piece actually being worn by a model. I like to be able to see how a piece actually looks on someone when I’m shopping online, so that’s a great feature. I also love that Uncommon Goods features the artists and designers who create the jewelry and accessories throughout the website. And, it’s wonderful to see that Uncommon Goods is environmentally friendly – all merchandise is produced without harm to animals and, as I stated above, many items are created using recycled materials (like my necklace)!
The best part, though, is that Uncommon Goods donates a portion of all proceeds to non-profit organizations. The fact that a company not only cares for the environment, but also gives back to help those in need, makes me want to shop there even more!
