The May Glossybox was a highly anticipated one for me, knowing that it was the Glossybox x Bergdorf Goodman collab and that there was a $25 Bergdorf Goodman certificate in the box! And it didn’t disappoint!
If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly beauty sample subscription service. For $21.00/month, you get five or six luxury travel-sized (and sometimes one or two full-sized!) products delivered right to your door. It’s a fun way to try out new products!
Back to the box! Let’s take a look at what I got for May:
~ ReVive Skincare Intensite Volumizing Eye Serum ~
~ Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue ~
~ Chantecaille Luminous Gloss ~
~ Alterna Caviar CC Cream for Hair ~
~ Lancer Skincare Eye Contour Lifting Cream ~
~ Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer ~
~ $25.00 credit to Bergdorf Goodman ~
ReVive Skincare Intensite Volumizing Eye Serum
$350.00 / 0.5 oz.
First, I must say the name of this product confused me. Volumizing is not a term I generally think of for my eye area. But okay, the point is that it claims to plump up the eye area, significantly diminishing circles, undereye bags and fine lines. This product is SUPER expensive and the size I received was great – definitely a fantastic value given the price of the full size! Woot.
Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue
$140.00 / 3.4 oz.
This sample was another very well-sized sample! Two products in and the May Glossybox is killing it! The scent is described as “a breathtaking seductress caught in a stolen affair between light and dark” and includes Turkish Rose Absolue and Ginger, wrapped in a veil of Velvet Oud Indonesian Patchouli, Papyrus and Somalian Incense. It is truly a gorgeous scent.
Chantecaille Luminous Gloss in Lychee
$34.00 / 0.26 oz.
You know I love my lip gloss! I was not sad to see this, even though the sample was pretty small (hey the rest of the products make up for it). The gloss is so pretty – it’s a peachy pink with a little bit of sparkle (it’s showing up much darker in my photos for some reason). On the lips, the color is sheer but still pops, and it leaves a really beautiful glossy shine. It feels really comfortable and hydrating as well. I love this gloss.
Alterna Caviar CC Cream for Hair 10-in-1 Complete Correction
$25.00 / 2.5 oz.
Is anyone else getting a little tired of the whole BB and CC Cream movement, especially now that it’s flooded the body cream and hair markets as well? Just my opinion. Despite the name, the product itself is pretty great. This hair cream claims to prevent breakage, add moisture, shine, smoothness, softness, strength and manageability, while also containing UV and heat protection and adding a light hold. That’s quite the mouthful!
Lancer Skincare Eye Contour Lifting Cream
$95.00 / 0.5 oz.
This eye cream contains MDCP Complex as well as light diffusing agents, caffeine and collagen-boosting peptides to brighten and firm the eye area while minimizing crows feet and fine lines. Definitely right up my alley!
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer
$45.00 / 1.7 oz.
This gentle makeup base claims to prime and smooth the skin to aid in a flawless makeup application, helping makeup glide right on and last. It also contains Yarrow Extract and Vitamin E for complexion perfection and hydration.
$25.00 credit to Bergdorf Goodman
We can’t forget the $25.00 credit to Bergdorf Goodman! This alone paid for the box (which is a $21.00 value)! Such a great bonus, and I used it towards a full size Chantecaille gloss!
Overall, this box was pretty darn fantastic and the credit and products I received inside more than paid for the box. I am really happy with this box and every single product I received inside, and I love that all of the products are available at Bergdorf Goodman!
