If you’re dying to add a little extra color to your life, nail color is one great way to do it! And I, for one, have been dying for some color.
Since the weather hasn’t decided to warm up just yet, I wanted to at least brighten my spirits in anticipation of spring, so I went and bought a new nail polish. (I hauled it in a recent Sephora Haul on my YouTube channel, so check that out if you’re interested.)
This shade is Relentless, from the Formula X line of nail polishes, and it is the quintessential spring pink! It’s described as a “Powerhouse Pink” on the Sephora website, and honestly I’m not entirely sure what that means, but I can see the connection insofar as it’s a powerful pink – not too bright, not too muted. Formula X Relentless is a warm pink with lilac undertones. Like I said, quintessential spring in a bottle!
It’s so pretty!
As far as formula goes, I usually love Formula X polishes; however I wasn’t as impressed with the formula of this particular shade. I’m not sure why it seems different to me, but this one has a thinner consistency, and it chipped more quickly than the other Formula X shades that I own. And once it chipped, it chipped. Not just a little wear on the nails after a few days. Like, I need to take this off really soon or I’m going to look gross chips.
So, overall I’d rate this polish a 6. There are nail polishes out there that still chip much more quickly, and the shade is just so, so beautiful!
