I’ve now completed over 60 days using the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X, and wanted to provide you with another quick update!
Feeling some concern during my last update, I emailed a representative for the brand with some questions – mainly breaking down what I was doing (how many pulses, how often, etc.) and asking if I should be doing anything differently. I had only been getting about 450 pulses for each half of my leg, while the directions mentioned the total should be around 600 pulses. I felt that I had been doing some overlap of about 1/4 in. (as also listed in the directions), but the representative mentioned that overlap definitely doesn’t hurt, and I should try to get closer to 600 pulses.
Since receiving her response, I’ve been overlapping a bit more and I’ve been getting closer to 600 pulses (about 525) for each half leg. It’s a long process – each half leg takes about 30 – 40 minutes – but I am starting to notice a difference! Although I’m nowhere near permanent hair removal, I’ve recently noticed that the hair is growing in more slowly and a bit more fine.
The only complaint I have about the process is that the laser battery always dies after only working on one half of my leg. It’s a bit frustrating to have to wait for it to charge to move on to another section, especially because the process itself takes such a long time. I prefer to get it all done at once.
But that said, if the hair removal is, indeed, permanent, I’ll be a happy girl!
I’ll check in in another 30 days with a final update!
